The party wants the feed to also be labelled. It says farmers are importing genetically engineered feedstuffs like soybean meal, maize meal and palm kernel meal to feed dairy cattle, without tests being carried out and no labelling and that it is increasingly ending up in the human food chain. But Federated Farmers say there is no scientific proof that genetically engineered animal feed is harmful to humans.
