Farm gate prices climb 4.1pc in April
Farm gate prices in Hungary rose 4.1pc year-on-year in April, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said.
Crop prices edged down 1.2pc, but the price of live animals and animal products jumped 14.5pc. Grain prices rose 2.2pc, fruit prices were up 8.4pc and vegetable prices increased 1.8pc.
The price of live hogs increased 35pc, live poultry prices inched up 1.5pc and the price of milk climbed 26pc.
In January-April, farm gate prices rose 0.7pc year-on-year. Crop prices fell 4.3pc and the price of live animals and animal products rose 10pc.
