Torley gross revenue reaches HUF 19bn in 2017

kgyGross revenue of Hungarian sparkling wine maker Torley came close to HUF 19bn last year, managing director Gyorgy Kovacs said in an interview of business daily Vilaggazdasag.

Domestic turnover rose 4pc, lifted by higher sales volume and the growing popularity of premium products, Mr Kovacs said. Sweet sparkling wine now accounts for less than 60pc of domestic sales, he added. Exports generated one-third of turnover. Torley’s biggest markets abroad are Sweden and Canada. In Quebec, its Hungaria Grande Cuvee Brut Kanada brand is market leader.
