Crop prices rose 8.7pc during the period. Grain prices were up 12.9pc and industrial crop prices rose 18.6pc yr/yr. Potato prices fell 55.9pc. Fruit prices rose 7.0pc. Livestock and animal product prices climbed 17.3pc. The price of cattle for slaughter jumped 43.0pc, hog prices were up 25.7pc and poultry prices increased 10.6pc. Egg prices rose just 2.6pc, but the price of milk was up 15.0pc. January-November farm gate prices were up 20.2pc yr/yr, as crop prices rose 23.3pc including a 33.1pc rise in the price of grain, and livestock and animal products prices rose 14.7pc in the period. Farm gate prices fell year-on-year until June 2010 before starting to rise at a double-digit pace in July 2010.
