Tokaj Kereskedohaz sold 250.000 bottles of wine in the US last year thanks to a contract with membership warehouse chain Costco, Mr Kiss said. A new contract could generate sales on the same scale, he added. About 3m of the 7m bottles of wine Tokaj Kereskedohaz sells each year are exported. About 2,5m bottles are sold on markets in Eastern Europe. Tokaj Kereskedohaz is supplied by more than 2.000 winegrowers in the Tokaj region.
