The hotel was first offered for sale for HUF 2.1bn. In the second round of tender, which expired in March, the hotel failed to attract any offers at a price of HUF 1.9bn. The other hotel owned by Civis Hotels, Best Western Hotel Kalvin (also in Debrecen), has been offered for HUF 450m after the earlier unsuccessful offers at HUF 530m and HUF 480m, Mr Buga added. A third hotel earlier owned by Civis Hotels in the spa town of Hajduszoboszlo was offered for HUF 1.25bn and sold last December for HUF 800m. Applicants are expected to have an opportunity to bid for the Grand Hotel Aranybika at the end of May.
