Hungarians plan to spend an average of HUF 33,000 on holiday presents this year, similar to last year, according to a fresh survey conducted by Cofidis Hitel Monitor.About two-thirds of interviewees said they start to make savings in earlier months for their holiday spending, with 31pc setting money aside already in the autumn, while 4pc said they will finance their Christmas presents from credit. Although 62pc of consumers still buy their presents at shopping centres, webshops now take second place with more than one-third of sales. People plan to spend an average of HUF 6,100 on presents for one person, similar to last year.
