Hungary govt frees up HUF 35.8bn in residual monies
The resolution, published in the official gazette Magyar Kozlony on Monday, frees up the residual monies, frozen until June 30 of this year, for use by the ministries and Parliament until June 30, 2013. The monies must be used for the same purposes for which they were originally allocated. The ministry said the residual monies include HUF 28.2bn for the National Development ministry to be used for energy efficiency improvements, subsidies for the renovation of residential buildings, renovation of railway bridges and touristic purposes. Some HUF 6.3bn freed up for the National Economy Ministry will be used for a rental home programme, public administration as well as foreign trade and investment tasks, and tasks related to targeted development planning. The Rural Development Ministry may use HUF 707m of the monies for environmental protection developments, cross-border rural development tasks and the small farm development programme. The Human Resources Ministry may use HUF 375m of the monies for a scholarship programme. The ministry said HUF 192m has been freed up for use by Parliament.
