New Caterpillar workshop at ASG
The development is part of a HUF 1bn investment, announced last October, to buy a new machining centre and expand production halls. ASG Gepgyarto is paying for the investment with EU grant money and years of retained earnings. ASG Gepgyarto, a private company, has been working for Caterpillar since 1993, and as a result of the new expansion its shipments to Caterpillar should reach more than 30pc of turnover planned for this year, the company said. ASG Gepgyarto makes industrial and mining machinery, as well as parts for drill heads and dredgers. Apart from Caterpillar, Atlas-Copco, Joy, Sandvik and Terex Demag are among its business partners. ASG Gepgyarto expects revenue of HUF 2,3bn from 2010, after 2,8bn in 2009.
