Hungary farm gate prices fall 14.6pc in November
Farm gate prices in Hungary fell 14.6pc year-on-year in November, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said. Prices of crops fell 21.8pc, because of the improved harvest, and prices of livestock and animal products edged down 0.9pc. Grain prices were 31.5pc lower. Prices of industrial crops were down 21.0pc, including a 25.2pc drop in the price of oil seeds. Potato prices jumped 27.2pc. The price of fresh vegetables rose 8.5pc and fruit prices were up 2.1pc. Live cattle prices dipped 29.3pc, hog prices edged down 0.3pc and poultry prices were down 3.2pc. Egg prices fell 18.5pc and milk prices increased 14.2pc. In January-November, farm gate prices were down 8.1pc year-on-year. Crop prices were down 14.2pc and live animal and animal product prices rose 3.8pc.
