Cornerstone laid for EUR 120m bioethanol plant in Central Hungary
During the investment, 250 workers will be employed on the project. Pannon Ethanol will buy 575,000 tonnes of maize annually to produce 240m litres of bioethanol. Pannonia Ethanol president Mark Turley said the new plant will directly create 77 new jobs, but will indirectly ensure more than 600 jobs by offering a stable long-term market for Hungarian maize.
