Farm minister orders mandatory testing of German pork

Mr Fazekas also placed temporary restrictions on all fresh and frozen pork, pork products and live hogs imported directly or indirectly from Germany until February 28, 2011. Laboratory tests until now have not established that any eggs, meat or meat products tainted with dioxin were delivered to Hungary, the ministry said. In spite of this, the minister, in line with the stand of the meat products council VHT, decided to step up controls country-wide.
