Five mushroom processing plants offered for sale for second time

Quality Champignons has been under liquidation since 2009, but has remained operational. Matraholding told the paper that the properties of the most modern plant, the one in Demjan, near Eger (NE Hungary), are being offered for HUF 585m, and the machines and equipment for HUF 212.5m. The assets of the other plants, including movables, are being offered for HUF 29.7m (Emod), HUF 22.5m (Fuzesabony), HUF 25m (Rabapatona), and HUF 135m (Hodmezovasarhely). Napi Gazdasag said the company became a loss-maker as a result of intensive price competition, largely due to the appearance of foreign products.
