Mineral water bottler Szentkiralyi profits jump on improved efficiency

Revenue declined 5pc to HUF 5,35bn as the Hungarian mineral water market contracted. Data from market research company Nielsen show the market contracted 1,7pc in volume terms and 6,2pc in value terms. Szentkiralyi targets revenue growth of 9,6pc in 2011, thanks to a pick-up on the mineral water market, the introduction of new products and structural changes. Szentkiralyi said it renewed a cooperation agreement with juice maker Sio Eckes for 2011-2012. The company added it also started direct distribution of some of its products to catering establishments and retail chains, establishing a 25-member sales force and expanding its fleet of vehicles.
