Finland supports Hungary bid to extend moratorium on farmland purchases by foreigners
Hungary asked the European Commission in the spring to allow it to extend the moratorium, which is set to expire on April 30, 2011, by three years. The Commission is expected to decide on the matter by January. Mr Fazekas said the Hungarian-Finnish agriculture working group was being re-established after a five-year hiatus.
