Dairy product imports take more than 20pc market share in Hungary

The market share of imported dairy products, based on volume, in hypermarkets reached 33pc, down two percentage points from 2009 but up ten percentage points from 2007, the paper said. The market share of imported cheese, in value terms, rose to 37pc in 2009 from 35pc in 2008. The market share of domestically produced cream products, in volume terms, fell to 28pc in 2010 from 37pc three years earlier. In value terms, their share fell to 35pc from 42pc.
