Fire destroys animal feed storage in Kehl, Germany

The fire was discovered in the night of Wednesday 18 April around 3.20AM in a 12,000 m2 building at the harbour road in Kehl at the Rhine river on German ground (opposite Strasbourg in France). The fire destroyed most of two floors of a multi-storey building. The flames were extinguished around 6:30AM and no one was injured. The building stored animal feed and according to the police damages of the burned feeds alone amounted to over a million euros. Also the structure of the building was damaged and a ceiling of the hall is in danger of collapsing. Police forensics are working at the fire scene to determine the cause of the fire, which so far is unclear.
