Hun exhibitors show at BIOFACH

Twelve Hungarian exhibitors are showing at this year’s BIOFACH, the world’s leading trade fair for organic food, in Nuremberg.Deputy state secretary Katalin Toth, who is representing Hungary at the show, discussed the crisis in the dairy sector, pork market trends and organic food processing with her Polish counterpart Ryszard Zarudzki in Nuremberg. Mr Zarudzki informed her of Poland’s recently introduced tax on supermarkets, while Ms Toth recounted Hungary’s experience with changes to its supermarket oversight fee as well as the European Commission’s stand on the matter. BIOFACH runs from Wednesday until Saturday.
