Hungary PMI rises sligthly to 45.8 in June

An index above 50 indicates a pick-up in manufacturing activity, while a figure below 50 shows contraction. The slight June improvement came after a steep 4.7 percentage point rise in May. The seasonally-adjusted index fell well below 50 last October on the effects of the global financial crisis and recession and hit an all-time low of 38.5 in January before starting to improve. The unadjusted PMI increased to 49.2 in June from 47.4 in May.
