Hungary and Brazil to Cooperate on Fish Management
Katalin Tóth, the Ministry of Rural Development’s Deputy State Secretary for International Relations and Brazilian Ambassador to Hungary Valter Pecly Moreira have signed an inter-ministerial declaration of intent regarding cooperation in fish management.
USDA raises Brazilian soybean output estimate
The USDA’s Brazilian bureau has increased its estimate for soyabean production in the Latin American country this year by one million tonnes to a record 83mt, up from 66.5mt in 2011/12, reducing concerns over output of the oilseed after lack of rain in recent weeks.
Six countries ban Brazil beef over mad cow case
Six countries have banned imports of Brazilian beef, including No. 6 importer Chile, since a case of atypical mad cow disease was confirmed last month, said Brazil’s foreign trade secretary Tatiana Prazeres.
