Increased Funding for Hungarian Agriculture in 2014-2020
While the budget for the European Union’s Common Agricultural Policy has decreased by some 11 percent, Hungary will be receiving 12.3 billion euros in agriculture funding within the next financial framework for 2014-2020, compared to 10.4 billion euros in the current period.
Parliament makes Historic Decision
The Hungarian Parliament came to a historic decision on 17 December 2012 when it amended Hungary’s Fundamental Law to include the obligation to provide the highest possible level of protection, maintenance and preservation for farmland, water stocks and biological diversity.
Hungary farm gate prices climb 6.6 percent
Farm gate prices in Hungary rose 6.6 percent in July from the same month a year earlier, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said.
