Ten days left to vote on-line for the new EU Organic Logo

The new logo aims to enhance consumer protection and promote organic farming. Unlike the current logo, the winning entry will be obligatory for all pre-packaged organic products that derive from the 27 Member States and meet the labelling standards. Operators will still be able to use national/private logos in addition to the compulsory EU logo. More than 100,000 people have already voted on-line, but the Commission hopes that many more will vote, as this will increase still further the visibility of the organic sector.
