The EU subsidises Hungarian farmers based on the area of land they work. Dairy farmers are also eligible for support. About HUF 1,300bn in EU support is available to Hungarian farmers for investments in the 2007-2013 budget period, Mr Graf said. About half of the support is for technical improvements.
