Spar Hungary meat plant gets ISO 22000 certificate
Spar Magyarorszag is the only food chain in Hungary which operates a meat processing plant of its own. The plant started to operate at the beginning of 2005 and it exports part of its produce to the Czech Republic and to Slovenia. Sales revenue of the meat plant rose 10pc last year and they expect a similar increase this year, communication director Zsuzsa Laber said, adding that other figures of Spar Husuzem were confidential. Spar Group had consolidated turnover of HUF 397.3bn in Hungary last year, up 6.2pc from 2008.
