Romania supports Hungary bid to extend moratorium on farmland

Hungary asked the European Commission in the spring to allow it to extend the moratorium, which is set to expire on April 30, 2011, by three years. The Commission is expected to decide on the matter by January. The two ministers also agreed to a closer cooperation between Hungary and Romania in the area of food safety.
