The EFIP team can provide you with an update on the latest developments and tell you more on what the EFIP schemes could mean for your feed ingredients related activities and manufacturing sites. Building on the European Guides to good practice, endorsed by the European Commission and the EU 27 Member States, sector specific feed safety management systems have been developed in combination with third party certification. The EFIP schemes provide verification and proof of the correct implementation of good hygiene practices in line with the requirements of the EU feed hygiene legislation to the customers downstream. Furthermore, it facilitates trade within the agricultural markets by providing uniform requirements. EU harmonised feed safety management systems will positively contribute to the removal of trade barriers caused by different national standards and last but not least increased transparency and customer confidence.
