Hungary investment funds record net purchases for first time since February

The 412 domestic investment funds managed by BAMOSZ members had assets of HUF 2,535bn at the end of July, 2.8pc more than one month earlier. Investors bought net HUF 4.6bn of units. Assets in share funds grew the fastest in July, rising 12.5pc to HUF 287.5bn. The funds drew HUF 9bn in fresh capital and had a net yield of more than HUF 23bn. Open-ended securities funds, which account for about 59pc of all fund assets, grew 3.4pc in July. The funds attracted HUF 12.2bn in capital and yields of almost HUF 38bn. Assets in property funds fell 4.5pc to HUF 257bn. Investors took HUF 14.8bn out of the funds, but yields came to HUF 2.6bn.
Bond funds grew 2.4pc to HUF 133bn.
