Mr Retfalvi was recalled from his post effective immediately and will not receive any severance pay, the ministry said. The ministry announced the investigation in September. Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Mr Retfalvi said he considered the decision of the economy minister legally unjustified, adding that he would follow a legal path in the matter. He also called for the results of the investigation by KEHI to be published.
