MEHIB can insure exports with less than 50pc Hungarian content
The basic requirement for MEHIB to underwrite a policy is still the 50pc Hungarian content, or 25pc if constructions services are exported, but in cases of special national interests, including creation or safeguarding of workplaces, securing export markets, or helping SMEs to remain competitive, the Hungarian content can be less than 50pc or 25pc respectively, the decree says. Such underwritings will be decided upon by the board of MEHIB on a case by case basis.
