Nestle coffee, cocoa plant in Hungary turns out 33,000 tonnes of product
Food industry giant Nestle expects to turn out 33,000 tonnes of coffee and cocoa at its plant in the Hungarian city of Szerencs this year, Nestle Hungaria said.
More than 80pc of the plant’s output is exported to 28 countries.The plant employs 362 workers on a permanent basis and 73 seasonal labourers. Nestle controls 20pc of Hungary’s coffee market. Nestle Hungaria had revenue of HUF 93.1bn in 2011, up from HUF 80.4bn in the previous year, according to public records.
