The Hungarian Prime Minister paid official visit to Vitafort Első Magyar Takarmánygyártó és Forgalmazó Zrt., in Dabas, which lasted for one and a half hours. Viktor Orbán conducted a private discussion with Zoltán Kulik, CEO of Vitafort Zrt., on agri-strategic issues, after which he inspected the feed manufacturing plants of the company.In order to improve the competitiveness of the agricultural sector, all actors must cooperate, from educational institutions to banks providing funds for financing, to which the state can contribute by ensuring the appropriate economic framework via the priorities of EU funding and domestic support. This was also discussed at the private meeting between Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Zoltán Kulik, CEO of Vitafort Zrt. Beyond discussing the competitiveness of the Hungarian agricultural sector and the possibilities for Hungarian agricultural exports, the head of the government and the head of the company also exchanged views on the situation of the Hungarian feed market, the availability of current assets and credit opportunities. They also analysed the relationship between Hungarian livestock and crop production and the impact of reversed VAT on the market economy. The effects of the forint’s rate on agricultural production, the support provided to small, medium and large farms and their turning points were also discussed. Viktor Orbán and Zoltán Kulik exchanged views about the status of education and the agricultural universities. The difficulties of the processing industry were also addressed, together with matters affecting the banking system and support from the European Union. During the visit, the activities of Vitafort Zrt., its production plants and development projects recently implemented with EU support were presented to the Prime Minister. After the visit, the Prime Minister made a statement to Radio Dabas, in which he referred to the achievements of Vitafort Zrt., as “nice success”, adding that he wished to underline it with his visit.
